Open Studio Session and Public Meeting #3

At the second public meeting, a preferred conceptual master plan was selected by the public. Over the next two days, the planning and design team held a series of open studio sessions at the Yacht Club where the public was invited to help refine the conceptual plan. Over 50 participants including fishermen, business owners, UAS representatives, Port staff, and harbor users provided input on detailing the preferred plan. During the studio sessions Corvus Design, NorthWind Architects, and PND Engineers developed a detailed master plan that was presented at the January 19 public meeting. Public Meeting #2

On January 17th, a public meeting was held at the Juneau Douglas High School. The meeting revisited the three conceptual plans (previously posted) and covered the economic data and analysis related the expansion of the marine service yard, new retail and commercial opportunities and housing options. Based on the public input at this meeting, a preferred conceptual master plan was developed (See below).
